A440 Gallery presents Bay Area Funk pioneer Clayton Bailey's artillery.  The GUN SHOW features Bailey's fantastic fully functional pop guns, elegantly carved rifle sculptures, ceramic Gang Guns, and exploding pottery which show what happens when you mix genius with fire.  A group of Betty Bailey's wry watercolor portraits illuminate the show.

 

A major influence on the Bay Area art scene since the 1960's, Clayton Bailey defines the Bay Area Funk movement; championing personality and conceptual wit, and significantly creating an art vocabulary accessible by all.
